How We Do It
We create a “system” - like the Web we use daily – only it is a web designed exclusively for development purposes. This system aggregates the physical and the intellectual resources available in each region in which Village Corps operates.
Through a web application we connect people who want to help--NGOs, businesses, academics, governments, sponsors, donors and volunteers--with people who need help. We effectively match the villagers’ needs to synergistic satisfiers to create sustainable solutions. “Synergistic satisfiers” are satisfiers that meet one need, and at the same time contribute to meeting many other needs.
Through the help of trained fellows, mentors, virtual volunteers, and village leaders, villages can systemically organize themselves and marshal the resources and training they need to implement lasting change.
We leverage our proprietary intelligent technology —filtering critical real time data and information provided by village leaders and online volunteers— to create sustainable solutions and monitor the progress of each village through the Internet and mobile technology.
