Norman Beaulieu

Norman has dedicated much of his career to solutions that help drive regenerative, scalable impact at the intersection of business and the social sector. He is a practitioner of combining ‘whole systems’ thinking with qualitative reasoning technology (that he co-developed), to address complex social and business challenges. Norman is the founder and managing director of Aedi Group, LLC, a Boston-based diversified holding company. Aedi Group is building a family of companies that deliver innovative services and technology based solutions within specific sustainability sectors, such as; community development, green building, energy, health & wellness and agriculture. Each company operates using sustainability based principles and seeks to co-generate profits and social dividends; using what Norman describes as the ‘co-profit’ business model.

 

chouJoel Chou

Joel majored in Physics, Cognitive & Neural Systems, and Applied Math at Boston University. He has authored several books published in Taiwan related to Neural Systems and has been working in the software industry for 10+ years. Joel works as a volunteer in the Tzu Chi Boston.

Cody is the Social Media Director for Common Sense NMS, where he works with some of the leading progressive causes in the world. Cody's ideas have spawned actionable change for partners such as (RED), NRDC, and Human Rights Firsts. He holds a Masters in Global Communication from the American University of Paris. Cody has been intimately involved in the use of new media as a tool for democracy and advocacy. In 2009, he was was named a finalist in the AAFT International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in New Delhi. He is also the co-inventer of the 2.go mobile marketing platform. Cody also serves as a board-fellow for ArtCorps, a non-profit organization that uses the arts to advance social change initiatives in developing countries.

Heather has a background in applied geoscience and has dealt primarily within the water and energy sectors. Having studied in the US, Sweden and Germany, she aspires to create a career that investigates environmental and social issues in an international context.

 

dyerGeorges Dyer

For over ten years, Georges Dyer has been engaged in solutions-based, business-driven, and whole-system approaches to sustainable development. For two years Mr. Dyer was the Head of Market Intelligence for the Institutional Equities Group at LaBranche Financial Services in New York. Prior to Wall Street, he was engaged with private equity deals working with eco-efficiency start-up companies and on residential and commercial real estate projects. He is a founder of Greenland Enterprises, a consultancy specializing in strategic leadership towards sustainability for accelerating the role businesses and other organizations play in sustainable development. Mr. Dyer is a Senior Fellow at Second Nature, where he has been developing the American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment – a program of over 660 college and university presidents, representing over 5.7 million students, committing their institutions to pursuing climate neutrality.

mediouriKhadija El Mediouri

Khadija was born and raised in Morocco. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The American University of Paris with a B.A. in Economics, Business Administration and a minor in Applied Mathematics. Khadija earned her M.A. in International and Development Economics from Yale University. Khadija is currently based in Morocco exploring the development challenges in the region.

 

huangMichael Huang

Michael has been in the customer relationship management industry for over 10 years. Most of Michael’s work has been concentrated in helping the financial industry and other major corporations to better serve their customers both in the US and abroad. He has authored books and published numerous papers about artificial intelligence and expert system technology in several different domains. Michael is the lead architect and creator for Aedi's natural language based real-time reasoning engine. Michael holds a Ph.D. in computer science.

Archie has over 12 years experience applying systems-based problem solving for sustainability. He has applied sustainable solutions to the real estate industry as a contractor, entrepreneur, and research analyst. Archie wrote a position paper on U.S. domestic energy security for Senator Joe Biden's presidential platform and was a contributing author to the paper titled “Healthy Solutions for the Low Carbon Economy” published through Harvard Medical School's Center for Health and the Global Environment. Archie has worked with Intrawest and GrupoPunta Cana in the Dominican Republic on sustainability initiatives. Archie has a Masters’s in Strategic Leadership for Sustainability and has a passion for the outdoors.

Bari graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2009 with a degree in Environmental Science and Policy. Bari recently finished a 6-month internship with Strategic Sustainability Consulting, a sustainability consulting firm based in Herndon, VA. Bari is interested in learning as much as she can about how businesses can positively contribute to both the United States’ and developing countries' necessary transition towards sustainability. At Village Corps, Bari is researching specific information on NGOs to address issues such as food and water and renewable energy. Bari is starting a year internship as a Client Support Analyst in London, UK with UBS Investment Bank. Bari is from outside Philadelphia and enjoys spending time with family, friends, her many pets, and traveling.

Maureen is Junior Associate at the Philanthropic Initiative, Inc. (TPI) where she supports program staff through research and administration, and also assists with marketing and business development initiatives. Before TPI, Maureen worked as Program Coordinator for Sustainability Roundtable Inc., where she helped organize the company's online presence, monthly webinars. quarterly video conferences and year-end summit. Here experience also includes time at Aedi Group and in the corporate accountability department at Ceres, a non-profit organization working towards sustainable prosperity. Maureen graduated from Hamilton College in May 2008 with a BA in World Politics and a minor in Hispanic Studies. She speaks Spanish and, in her spare time, enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, biking, skiing and all things New England.

As a Construction Manager, Mark Rollins has developed a deep understanding and aptitude for delivering whole-systems approaches to sustainable design and construction. For over seven years, Mark has worked extensively with leading academic institutions to craft, refine and implement complex sustainable projects, including a USGBC LEED Platinum rated project. Additionally, Mark held a two year Director post with the US Green Building Council: Massachusetts Chapter. Mark is currently enrolled in the Masters Program in Sustainability and Environmental Management at the Harvard University Extension School.
